The price of your morning cup of coffee may be going up

The average American consumes about three cups a day.

As more tariffs go into effect this week, there is something many people rely on every morning that may become more expensive.

The price of your cup of coffee may be going up.

Coffee beans are harvested in several countries around the world. Vietnam was hit with a 46% tariff.

The National Coffee Association says 150 million people, that's 66% of the American population rely on coffee every day. That's more than any other beverage.

The average American consumes about three cups a day.

It's not like the United States can start growing coffee in Arizona or California.

Colombian coffee farmers are concerned after the White House imposed a 10% tariff on Colombian imports, most of that includes coffee.

Coffee exporter Brazil also got a 10% tariff.

The USDA says the U.S. imports the second largest amount of coffee beans.
