As the holiday season approaches the Salvation Army reminds Bronx residence about the importance of not only making donations, but donating to the right places.
The organization says it is collecting toys for children up to the age of 12, while local firehouses and the City Harvest are accepting nonperishable foods. They say although every little bit counts, it is important to know where to donate what.
The Salvation Army says donations generally bring over 400 children toys as well as joy during the holidays.
