Fairfield County and Westchester County turned out strong for the 48th annual Greenwich St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Organizers from the Greenwich Hibernian Society called it the biggest in town history.
First responders, Irish step dancers, school bands and scout troops were among those marching.
A crowd of thousands of revelers turned the parade into a sea of green. They said it was representative of the community they love.
“It’s such a wonderful community. Great leadership, nice people,” said Linda Lombardo, of Stamford. “It just brings people out to a wonderful event. A fun-filled, love-filled event.”
