Again, we wanna get more in depth detail what those roads are looking like outside. So we're gonna turn things over to Tom as he gives us an updated. Good morning Tom. Hey there John, right here on Surf Avenue under the overpass, we just got here to get you the best view possible. Take a look, Frank, these are a cameraman show you what we brought you first. The Stratford police car completely submerged. There's another vehicle also completely submerged. Both these cars submerged well past up their tires doesn't appear to be anybody in either of these cars. The road here, this is where you'd be southbound coming off. 95 is closed again, there doesn't appear to be anybody inside either of these vehicles but rain still coming down and just walking over on the way over here, just a collection of all the debris in the road and it's all totally, totally flooded out. Road is closed down that direction. And uh right now here on Surf Avenue here in Stratford, avoid the area. Northbound. You are still able to commute and keep on going, but SOUTHBOUND is totally closed. These cars completely submerged. We don't have any information on how many people were in either of these cars, how they may have gotten out. But again, we're going to tell you from what we're seeing, it doesn't appear to be anybody inside. We just arrived here on the scene and this by far is the most substantial flooding that we've seen anywhere so far today, Milford had some localized flooding, but here in Stratford, this is deep and if you ever need a reminder to turn around and don't drown, this is about as on the nose as it gets, we'll be here moving forward today and we hope to learn more about exactly how these cars got in this scenario and how they got out. But until then.

Well, can confirm what you said that it looks like things are cleared up in D and MT A or CT dot Rather has said that that incident has been cleared. So confirmation on that now right now, get you look at where we are over in Bridgeport and you saw that on Jonathan's traffic camera, we're bringing you the roadside view and uh I gotta tell you driving this part in southbound every day, the backup at 6 a.m. isn't usually hitting all the way back here. Uh It's already coming in a little more than expected and that might have something to do with, of course, today being the busiest travel day of the year and the rain just adding to that slowdown in addition to all these cars on the road. Well, if you're headed northbound, it's not so bad at all. That's what you're looking at right now. We are headed northbound and there's really not too many people on the road, rain still coming down but nothing you haven't seen before if you used to drive in and around Connecticut. Uh and through the elements here again, flooding in the usual areas underneath overpasses sides of road, watch out for leaves, a slippery there on sides of road. And, uh, yeah, people coming at you from passing you on the right here too. You better watch out for that. You never know what you're gonna see when you're looking out on thunderbolt camera. Uh, you've taken a look out on the roads and this is what you see sometimes anyway, uh, back out to the forecast for rest of the day. I believe most of that's Jonathan. But I wanna hone in on what he mentioned earlier too. That right now a lot of the rain and look at that radar. It's headed east. That's where we're headed northbound, more towards Bridgeport, Milford area. That's where most of the rain seems to be coming down right now and we're making our way up through Stanford earlier. It wasn't that bad. That's good news. But there is still plenty of volume out on the roads right now. 55.5 million Americans across the country traveling from Wednesday to Sunday and with New York being one of Triple A's hot spots for travel. Yeah, you're going to see some of that pile up here too. We have been a couple of the rest stops earlier as little pit stop points and they really haven't been popping off too much will be over there later today and checking in with some travelers seeing how they are doing on their commutes, whoever they be all over and give us a buzz, give social media post, let us know where you are coming from and what the road conditions are like by you, send us a social media post or give us a call. But for now we're in Bridgeport. We keep on trucking up north which you know what conditions are as we get closer to the shoreline.
