A Torrington man has been sentenced to five years in prison for his role in a cocaine trafficking ring.
According to court documents, Brian Martinez Rivera acted as a drug courier.
Officials say he retrieved unmarked packages from drop locations and delivered them to another member’s home before the parcels were taken to the Bronx to be sold.
Investigators tracked 90 suspicious packages connected to the ring. Eleven of those packages were shipped directly to Martinez Rivera’s home.
More than two kilograms of cocaine were seized from just four of the parcels.
