Train strikes, kills man on tracks in downtown Fairfield
A Metro-North train hit and killed a man in downtown Fairfield Saturday night. Authorities say he was trying to climb onto the platform from the tracks as a northbound train passed through the station.

A Metro-North train hit and killed a man in downtown Fairfield Saturday night.
Authorities say he was trying to climb onto the platform from the tracks as a northbound train passed through the station.
Investigators have not yet determined why the man was on the tracks.
Metro Transit Authority police are leading the investigation and have not yet identified the victim.
