Connecticut state troopers did more than just rescue a roaming dog from I-84 in Danbury, they fed him dinner too.
Troopers say Scooby ran away from home and was spotted running onto the highway this past weekend.
Sgt. Dickey and Trooper Rivera saved the pup from the dangerous highway while they were working a construction zone nearby.
They say Scooby jumped right into their cruiser. The troopers say they didn't have any snacks for the dog, but Trooper Rivera gave up his own dinner of beef and broccoli to Scooby.
They also reunited Scooby with his owner, who was very grateful.
