The Trumbull fire marshal said Monday that a building that was home to a church and preschool will be condemned after it was destroyed by a fire over the weekend.
The blaze broke out at Blessed Assurance Prayer Community on White Plains Road Sunday afternoon.
The building also housed Blessed Lamb Nursery School, where six children attended.
Officials say the fire burned for almost two hours and that it had to be fought from outside the building due to the intensity of the flames.
Fire officials are still working to determine the cause of the fire but say they do not believe it was suspicious.
