Trumbull reprints ballots following typo discovery

The ballot question lists a dollar amount to build a community center. Officials say a period was printed where there should have been a comma. As result, the ballot question makes it appear that the cost of the center is $27,000 instead of $27 million.

Trumbull officials say they are reprinting ballots due to a typo that was discovered on a ballot question regarding the budget.

The ballot question lists a dollar amount to build a community center.

Officials say a period was printed where there should have been a comma.

As result, the ballot question makes it appear that the cost of the center is $27,000 instead of $27 million.

The ballots must be corrected according to the state

Town officials say the error slipped by the town clerk and registrars from both parties, who all approve the wording.

All absentee ballots that were previously issues are now voided, including the 125 that have been returned.

Those voters will be mailed a new ballot.
