Two longtime Lieberman supporters announced Monday their support for the underdog, Ned Lamont, in the Democratic primary for state senator.
Democrats Carl Feen and Irv Stolberg, helped Lieberman with his first campaign 40 years ago. The two say it was very hard to tell Lieberman, who is both a good and old friend. They say his views surrounding the war in Iraq led to the split.
Senator Joe Lieberman and challenger Ned Lamont will face off in the Democratic primary August 8.
