A local nursing student’s life has been upended after her vehicle was stolen Monday in Bridgeport’s South End, taking with it her vital documents, academic work, and peace of mind.

The incident occurred on the 500 block of Park Avenue.

Jamiya, a University of Bridgeport nursing student who also works at Bridgeport Hospital, had left her vehicle unattended.

She ran into a nearby store for approximately 60 seconds, during which time a thief was caught on camera stealing the car.
