The head of the nonprofit group Wayne's Walk Foundation is sponsoring the free rides.
Group founder Darin Bershevsky started foundation after his best friend Wayne Lecardo was killed by a drunken driver in 2007. Bershevsky says that tragedy inspired him to come up with a program to help reduce drunken driving.
The St. Patrick's Day promotion will cover any ride in Stratford up to $10 beginning at 12 p.m. and until 3 a.m.
Organizers say they will offer the free ride program on other holidays as well.
