UConn men's basketball head coach Dan Hurley has signed a new six-year contract with the university, according to director of athletics David Benedict.
Benedict made the announcement on the university's website this morning.
The contract, which runs through 2029, is valued at $31.5 million over the six-year term.
Hurley took over the UConn program in March of 2018 and in five years has brought the Huskies from three consecutive losing seasons to the NCAA National Championship, the fifth in the history of the program. Hurley is one of only four active Division I coaches who have guided three different programs to a 25-win season and won a national championship.
