An unexpected "jolt" Monday at a Starbucks in Fairfield resulted in two people being sent to the hospital.
Police say a woman had pulled into the Starbucks? parking lot on Post Road when she realized she was in a handicapped spot. When she went to back out of the spot, police say she hit the gas and went forward.
According to police, the car hit the curb, crashed into a table, several chairs and a post before finally smashing into one of the store?s windows.
Police say the driver hurt her neck and back, and another woman hurt her leg after she tripped while trying to get out of the way. Both were taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center, but there's no word on their conditions.
