Union leaders called two emergency meetings Thursday to give striking Sikorsky Aircraft workers a morale boost. Hundreds of Teamsters from Local 1150 lined the streets to attend the meetings that were designed to encourage workers to stand their ground. Senator Joe Lieberman (D-CT) also visited the workers to remind them they still have his support in this fight.Strikers have been picketing for five weeks since rejecting a contract that would have required them to pay more for health insurance.
