United Illuminating appeals state's rejection of customer's rate increase
United Illuminating is appealing the state's rejection of its requested rate increase.
U.I. had requesting an increase that would have seen the average customer's bill rise about $200 per year.
Instead, state regulators approved a rate that will see bills go up by about a third of that.
U.I says the decision could lead to a loss of nearly $32 million for the company.
No word on when the court might consider the appeal.
