The U.S. is releasing monkeypox vaccine from its stockpile and getting it to people at high-risk of infection.
According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention officials, the vaccine is licensed to prevent smallpox too.
News 12 is told that 1,000 doses will be available and that levels will ramp up in the coming weeks.
The CDC is investigating five cases of possible monkeypox across the country.
