Bridgeport city officials were on hand today for the demolition of a blighted building.
Mayor Joe Ganim joined City Council members and other community leaders at the vacant property on Stratford Avenue this morning.
It's all part of a continuing effort to tear down or improve abandoned properties around the city's East End.
Officials say before the city can experience a rebirth, blighted old structures have to go.
Bridgeport officials say they'll be targeting more such buildings in the East End over the next several weeks.
