Several groups and Milford officials laid wreaths at war memorials during a ceremony Sunday for Memorial Day.
The ceremony started at Town Hall where several officials spoke then watched as veteran groups laid wreaths and called out the names of soldiers who have died.
People in attendance marched to Milford Green where they laid more wreaths on town monuments.
Officials say, while enjoying the holiday weekend, it’s also important to remember those who fought for us and our rights.
That wreath laying ceremony was followed by a parade through the city at 2 p.m.
