Veterans, high school bands and families paraded in downtown Milford Saturday as neighbors cheered and thanked the veterans for their service.
Dozens of Milford neighbors came out to support the veterans and watch members of local law enforcement and kids march.
The keynote speaker was Lt. Jaworski, who recently returned from a yearlong deployment in Afghanistan.
Dominick Turdo is a Vietnam War veteran. He says he's been coming to Milford's Veterans Ceremony and Parade for decades.
As a veteran of Vietnam, he says he sometimes he doesn't always get thanked for his service, which is why he's grateful for his town for honoring those who served. Turdo says he wants to make sure all veterans are never forgotten.
"Some of my brothers didn't make it home. They never got that opportunity. They were 19, 20 years old. I'm very appreciative for what I have," said Turdo.
