The Quinnipiac Bobcats were among the national teams recognized Monday at the South Lawn of the White House.

Vice President Kamala Harris welcomed more than 1,000 student athletes for the College Athlete Day, including Quinnipiac University's men's ice hockey team.

The Bobcats won their first NCAA Division One title in April, and won a program-record of 34 games this season.

President Joe Biden was originally scheduled to appear but had to undergo a root canal.
