Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to be in New Haven, Connecticut, Friday.

The White House made the announcement that Harris is expected to visit a child care center.

The vice president will be joined by Reps. Rosa DeLauro and Jahana Hayes.

The visit is part of the White House "Help is Here" tour, to promote the American Rescue Plan stimulus act.

The visit comes just a couple of weeks after first lady Dr. Jill Biden visited Meriden with new Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.
