The victim of a brutal attack by a gang of people in Bridgeport spoke exclusively with News 12 Connecticut today. The attack was caught on camera and posted on Facebook Friday.
Breonda Greene, 17, said she was supposed to be at night school but was running a bit late when she found herself in the middle of an argument. That argument got out of control and the 17-year-old quickly found herself in the middle of an attack.
Greene says the fight started because her friend had made comments about a 15-year-old girl who was fatally shot this summer. The 17-year-old says she is sorry for the comment made but that violence shouldn't have been the answer.
Breonda walked away from the fight with minor injuries. Bridgeport police say they did respond to the scene after the fight. They say they are looking into the video.
