A City Island shop is drawing excitement thanks to the feelings of nostalgia that it is bringing.
The yet-to-be-named business, located on City Island Avenue, is selling items from days past like arcade games, playing cards and even a toy ray gun from the 1970s that caught some attention.
The space was purchased just a few months ago by Dan and Reina Treiber when the 150-year-old space became vacant. Now, the grand opening of the new business is keeping the spot active.
The owners avoid using rigid sticker prices on their toys. Instead, they talk to their customers about the products before determining a price.
Their collection of items reaches as far back as the mid-19th century. The oldest item for sale is an apple peeler that dates back to the 1850s.
