Violent fugitive suspected of murdering local TV anchor’s mother caught in CT

Police said a man suspected of murdering a local TV's anchor's mother was caught in Connecticut, on Wednesday.
Federal officials say Shawn Conlon, 44, of Rhode Island, was taken into custody at a hotel on the Gold Star Highway in Groton.
Police say he strangled Claudia Voight in her Vermont home back in February and traveled to Connecticut after the investigation.
Conlon will be extradited back to Vermont where he's charged with second-degree homicide.
Claudia Voight is the mother of NBC CT anchor Heidi Voight.
