A Stamford family is pleading with whoever who stole their disabled son's go-kart to return it to the heartbroken lad.
Megan Backes says her 4-year-old Kenny's go-kart was taken from a neighbor's yard when left unattended for only 15 minutes. A neighbor claims to have witnessed another woman stopping her red SUV, taking the go-kart and speeding off.
Backes' son lives with acromatopsia, which means his eyes are very sensitive to light. The go-kart was a dear possession of the boy, enabling him to go outside in the sun.
"I really don't like that it's stolen," says Kenny.
