A group of volunteers that helps animals in need across Connecticut recently rolled out a unique service: an animal ambulance.
The service is run by the Emergency Animal Response Services Team.
They've been around since 2011, but the ambulance was started in May.
The owner says they respond to everything from fires where animals were rescued to calls for injured hawks.
He says they respond to about 12 calls a month, and their service is free.
They run strictly on donations.
