Hundreds of volunteers turned out in Norwalk Friday to wrap holiday presents for children with serious illnesses or financial hardships.
Penna Construction, located at 290 New Canaan Ave., transformed into Santa's workshop with the aid of more than 500 helpers.
They came from the All Saints Catholic and High Road schools, both in Norwalk.
They wrapped gifts for children cancer, blood disease or severe financial hardship.
The young volunteers say they learned the importance of looking beyond themselves.
Vinnie Penna, of Penna Construction, donates the space every year for Santa's workshop.
