A new CNN report shows there is a growing concern that the general election could be tampered with by hackers.
Connecticut Secretary of State Denise Merrill says the state's electronic voting machines are secure. She says the machines would be very difficult to hack because they aren't connected to the internet.
Cybersecurity experts also say that the election system across the country is so decentralized that it would be very difficult to impact the outcome of the election.
The machines being used for voting have a number of seals on them, which is how officials at polling locations will know they have not been tampered with.
Officials can also go back and check that the paper ballots match the number that the machine is putting out.
