Final farewells begin today for Cardinal Edward Egan in New York.
A wake will be held at St. Patrick's Cathedral for the former bishop of the Bridgeport Diocese. 
Barricades are already set up along Fifth Avenue as many are expected at the public viewing.
Egan died on Thursday at the age of 82.
After his funeral Mass on Tuesday, he will be entombed under the church's main altar with previous archbishops of New York.
