WHAT’S NEW: It will be a calm ending to the week for western Connecticut. There will be a few cold fronts moving across the region that could influence some minor changes but nothing drastic. The first, coming overnight into Thursday, will present more dry air for the region - bringing more sunshine even though clouds will hang around.
WHAT’S NEXT: Friday will be more of the same. However, we will start to warm up to the mid-70s by the weekend. A sprinkle or shower Thursday p.m. and Friday p.m. can't be ruled out, but it won't be significant. Another cold front from Sunday overnight into Monday will bring cooler temperatures and some rain chances for the region that could impact the morning commute.
THURSDAY: Morning fog and clouds will be clearing up by lunchtime. Mostly sunny for the rest of the day and seasonable. Highs near 70 degrees. Lows in the mid-50s.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny with a few clouds, morning fog is possible. Highs near the mid-70s. Lows in the low-50s.
THE WEEKEND: Mild with sun and clouds on Saturday. A dry weekend is expected. Sunday will not be as mild, rather cooling near 70 degrees for the daytime high. An approaching cold front brings rain chances for Monday.
