Waterbury man accused of driving drunk in wrong direction in Torrington

Police say a Waterbury man was driving drunk on the wrong side of the road in Torrington Friday morning.
Police say Michael Wiggins was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Route 8 near Exit 43 around 1:30 a.m.
Officers said he later turned around and drove north, before getting off and driving south again on the correct side.
Wiggins is facing multiple charges and was released on $1,000 bond.
