News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says it will be a partly sunny Monday in Connecticut before the arrival of late-night storms.
HEADLINES: Quiet weather again, nice night, but tracking strong storms late Monday night. More night storms are possible into Tuesday.
WHAT'S NEW: Storm threat for Monday. It looks like it's later in the day and at night again.
WHAT'S NEXT: This trail of storms continues in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Another impluse arrives Monday night into early Tuesday. Some storms could become strong and severe. Connecticut will see highs in the mid- to upper-80s. There will be drier weather and calmer conditions for a few days mid-week. There is a risk of storms for Friday. Next weekend looks good so far.
OVERNIGHT: Clouds collect overnight. Overnight lows stay seasonal near 66-69.
MONDAY: More clouds than sunshine. Isolated showers in the afternoon become more widespread with thunderstorms in the evening and late night. Heavy rain overnight could bring morning headaches. Highs near 82. Lows near 69.
TUESDAY: Showers linger into morning, making for a wet, slow-go morning commute. Clouds clear and day ends dry. Highs near 81. Lows near 66.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny, pleasant. Highs near 82. Cooler overnight lows near 64.
