A Fairfield couple is using its restaurant on Post Road to introduce Connecticut to the tastes of Romania.

Chris Caldarariu was born in Transylvania, Romania. He says growing up he learned that Americans knew about Bran Castle and the story of Dracula.

Caldarariu and his wife Alina wanted to bring the culture to America, so they opened Cafe Transilvania. It's the first Romanian restaurant in Connecticut.

The restaurant features a lot of meat and potato dishes. Caldarariu says people are amazed because it is a style of food they have never tried.

The couple says the restaurant is a dream come true.
