Sugar Rush is an ice cream shop in Shelton that's mixing up technology, science and dessert.
Owners Flamur and Ali Nasuf integrate technology with culinary arts to create a crazy and futuristic experience for kids and families.
A small batch of ice cream base is poured into a stainless-steel bowl, which freezes quickly with liquid nitrogen -- that gets it down to -320 degrees. The owners say miniscule particles in the crystals make the ice cream rich and creamy for a perfect scoop every time.
There are four liquid nitrogen flavors and 12 ice cream flavors.
With music, lights and smoke, they say kids go wild at Sugar Rush.
