The man police say fatally shot a Wesleyan University student was arraigned Friday in Middletown Superior Court.Stephen P. Morgan, 29, was arrested Thursday night after seeing his photo in a newspaper and asking a convenience store clerk to call police.A judge increased his bond Friday to $15 million.Police say Morgan fatally shot 21-year-old Johanna Justin-Jinich on the school's campus Wednesday. According to police, they found journals in Morgan's car in which he wrote "I think it okay to kill Jews and go on a killing spree" and "Kill Johanna. She must Die," Justin-Jinich, of Timnath, Colo., came from a Jewish family, andher grandmother was a Holocaust survivor. She would have graduated next year from Wesleyan University. Authorities in New York say Morgan and Justin-Jinich had knowneach other since at least 2007, when Justin-Jinich filed aharassment complaint against him while they were enrolled in asummer class at New York University. In the complaint filed in Julyof that year, Justin-Jinich said Morgan called her repeatedly andsent her insulting e-mails.AP wire services contributed to this report.
