The City of Danbury is teaming up with Western Connecticut State University to take care of locals in the aftermath of Tuesday's storm.
A functional needs shelter is set up in the Bill Williams Gymnasium for residents without power and need to use a medical device like a ventilator.
The university says the gym is serving as an overflow location from the hospital and is providing food as well.
The Danbury Library is also open for residents looking to charge their devices or use Wi-Fi.
