West Haven police say one suspect is behind bars and the search is on for at least one more after an incident at a local motel involving an assault-style rifle.
The incident occurred at the Super 8 on Kimberly Avenue early Friday morning.
Police say Timothy Frye, of New Haven, hit another man with the butt of a handgun and stole the AR-15 that man had apparently brought to Frye's room. They caught up with Frye, but the rifle is still missing.
Police say another man caught on surveillance video is also a suspect in the case.
Anyone with information is asked to call West Haven police.
