State officials say the West Nile Virus has now been detected in mosquitoes across 34 cities and towns in Connecticut this year.
There's been a heavy concentration in the southwestern corner of the state, with nearly every community impacted.
So far, the virus has only been found in trapped mosquitoes. No human cases have been reported.
Officials caution that this is the time of year when people typically begin to contract the virus.
