Police are urging Weston homeowners to lock their homes after two weekend burglaries.

They say a burglar entered homes on Lyons Plain Road and Old Hyde Road through a first-floor window.

In both cases the windows were broken and numerous items, including jewelry, were stolen.

Police are urging residents to lock their doors and windows, set alarms and check surveillance cameras to make sure they are operational.
