A Westport girls softball team is headed to its first state championship.
The 12-year-olds are making history as the first Westport softball team in their age group to get this far.
"We've practiced literally every day and they've never complained," says Westport head coach Lou Alfero.
The regionals game will take place next Saturday in Bristol. If the girls keep winning, they could head to the Softball Little League World Series in Portland, Oregon.
