Westport police say they wrote out 37 seat belt tickets in this year's Click it or Ticket campaign.

The campaign, aimed to remind people to wear seat belts, was held from May 21 through June 3.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, nearly half of passengers killed in crashes in 2016 were not wearing seat belts.
