Westport police are moving ahead with plans to provide their officers with body cameras to record interactions with the public.
The town's Board of Finance voted unanimously this week to spend $20,000 to purchase 15 cameras.
Officers say the body cams will record traffic stops, investigations and arrests.
The cameras clip on to a shirt and can be activated by sliding open the lens cover.
Westport police say they hope to have the cameras up and running within a month.
