This week, News 12 Connecticut's What's Ailing You looks at finding reasonably priced organic foods that are free of both pesticides and hormones.
Stamford-based nutritionist Cathy McCarthy says supermarkets are changing with the times, and you can now find many more organic options there.
These stores include Whole Foods, Fairway and even Target, she says. McCarthy also says ShopRite has a good variety of organic canned vegetables.
McCarthy's secret is that she sometimes buys goods online or hits a buyers club to stock up.
McCarthy practices what she preaches about food and even has her own health and wellness business, Believe InYou.
