Wilton police say they are reaching out to investigators in California with the hope getting more information on the 2008 death of Nick Parisot.
The teen died when he hit a rope tied between two trees while riding a dirt bike.
Parisot's family has filed a civil lawsuit against the family of another teen they claim is responsible for rigging the trail.
Published reports have said that family has since moved to California.
