Wilton 'Safety Mom' warns of pool dangers
Some Connecticut residents are concerned about children and pool safety as summer hits full swing.
Peek-A-Boo Babyproofing?s Alison Rhodes says children should not be allowed to swim unless an adult is on duty.
Rhodes says to prevent possible drowning, parents should use self-closing gates and alarms to keep unsupervised children out of pools. Rhodes says alarm systems should be on home doors as well, since many cases involve children wandering out of the house without notice.
Rhodes, who writes a blog entitled ?The Safety Mom,? also says parents should know who is in charge of supervising the children at all times.
?Make sure you know who?s watching your child,? Rhodes says.
