Winchester man sentenced to 25 years for sexually assaulting minor

A man from Winchester, Michael Mansfield, was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Friday for sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

The case went to trial, where prosecutors argued that Mansfield sexually assaulted a female victim over a period of four years, when she was between the ages of 7 and 11.

In addition to his prison sentence, Mansfield was also ordered to register with the Connecticut Sex Offender Registry.
