WHAT TO KNOW:
  • Very mild Easter morning, but temperatures are steady near 60 this afternoon
  • Windy this afternoon gusts 25-35 mph
  • Tomorrow is cool with some light rain in the evening
  • Very warm Tuesday & remaining mild the rest of the week
It was a warm start to Easter weekend. High temperatures yesterday soared to 85F in Central Park, which is the warmest day since last summer.
Today is warm to start, with temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s this morning. It's a sunny day, but a strong breeze will keep temperatures steady in the 60s, so it'll be much less sweaty than yesterday. Unfortunately, the dry wind will bring an elevated risk for fire spread today. The annual spring burn ban remains in effect across the state.
EASTER SUNDAY: More sun than clouds. Breezy but pleasant with highs in the mid to upper 60s.
TONIGHT: Chilly in spots with lows in the upper 40s degrees. Less windy with a mix of sun and clouds.
MONDAY: Some sun to start, then mostly cloudy in the afternoon. Less wind, but cooler. Highs in the mid to upper 50s. A stray shower in the evening.
TUESDAY: Cloudy with a few morning showers, then very warm in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 70s.
REST OF THE WEEK: Temperatures are warmer than average with a mix of sun and clouds and dry conditions for Wednesday and Thursday. A few showers are possible on Friday, mainly in the evening.
NEXT WEEKEND: Showers are possible on Saturday. At this time, it doesn't appear to be a washout. Sunday is the better choice out of next weekend, but Saturday will be warmer with highs likely near 70 on Saturday and in the low 60s on Sunday.
