Southwestern Connecticut residents needed to bundle up for a dangerously cold weekend if they planned on spending their days off outside.
Temperatures dipped into the 20s Sunday, with the wind chill factor causing conditions to feel like the teens. Some residents refused to become a victim of the weather and were found around Fairfield at more summery locations, like the beach and ice cream shops.
Others stayed indoors to enjoy the warmth and some postseason action as the Patriots and Giants battled it out in their respective title games.
The Red Cross is reminding people to wear extra layers when they leave the house and to keep hydrated just as one would for extremely hot weather.
