The Wonderland
at Roseville, the annual holiday spectacular at a Fairfield home, will go on
this year.
People have
flocked to the festive display at 226 Roseville Terrace every Christmas season
to get an up-close look at all the decorations and computer-synchronized
lights.
Homeowner Gene
Halliwell spent Thanksgiving Eve adding the finishing touches to what's been a
holiday tradition for 21 years.
“You can't take
a holiday away from children. It's too important,” he told News 12. “So, I
figured, well, we'll just do the drive-by this year.”
This year, they
got an FM transmitter, 103.3, that will allow onlookers to enjoy the display
and synchronized music from their cars. The display will be open from 5 p.m.
until 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
As always, the
family will be
collecting donations for Shriners Children’s Hospitals in person
and online.
